Security Features

To help protect your account, SHAZAM monitors your debit card for any suspicious activity. If fraud is suspected, SHAZAM may send you a text message or phone call to verify the transaction. Be sure to respond promptly to help prevent unauthorized transactions and keep your account secure.

Mobile Banking App

Stay in control of your finances with our Mobile Banking App. Receive instant alerts whenever your debit card is used, allowing you to quickly detect unauthorized activity. You can customize the types of alerts you receive and when to receive them, including:

Purchases made via the internet or over the phone.
Suspicious or high-risk purchases.

ATM Card

With an ATM card from North Star Community Credit Union, you can make fee-free transactions from any North Star Community Credit Union-owned ATM or any Privileged Status ATM. An ATM card provides you with 24-hour access to cash at thousands of machines worldwide that display the SHAZAM or CIRRUS logos. Please note that daily withdrawal limits apply. Brella App

Brella is a free mobile app that helps protect you from fraud by sending alerts when your card is used so you can quickly detect unauthorized activity.

You choose which alerts to receive and when. Alerts include:

Purchases exceeding thresholds you set
Purchases made via the internet or over the phone
Suspicious or high-risk purchases

If you receive an alert, you can quickly take action to prevent fraud. With Brella, you can also:

Turn your debit card off or on (This is great if you misplace your card)
Check your account balance without logging in with the Quick Balance feature
Find nearby ATMs
Submit travel notices
Log in with just your fingerprint

You can add multiple Shazam Cards to the Brella app, including ones from other participating financial institutions. To access the ATM locator, you must have GPS Location Services enabled on your device.
